mmmm, clean clothes.....anyone whos been to India will know what I mean, you put your clothes into be washed and they seem to come back with roughly the same amount of dirt but pressed nicely. This is because in the main part clothes are washed in Ghats, which are basically the bank of a river or stream that they beat your clothes clean in. Some places are better than others of course. However, next to our cheap and cheerful hotel, we have a laundrete. So we got very exited about machine washed (and great smelling) clothes!!! Not wishing to sound like a commercial but the whites were white!!!!! I cant believe this, but I'm actually thinking of washing everything in my back pack before we go. Writing this has made me realise that you can take us out of England, but you cant take englishness out of us!!
Enough about such sillyness, we spent yesterday in a waterpark called Waterbom (hang on, this is silly again, oh well being kids for the day was fun). It had 8 slides that were all cool. I dont feel to bad for enjoying being 8 for the day (Sian was 6) because there were lots of people older than us doing the same thing. The best one was the Macaroni tube which felt really fast and was partly in the dark! What a fun day out!!!
Back to the real world we meet up with Paul who I used to work with in Kingston, he's been in Thailand and thinks we'll love it, I think he's right too!! We try and find the party as its Saturday, we try a couple of places and then accidently we find a bar/club that would be classed as great if it was in London. The only downside being a slight lack of people but we were treated to a group of 4 Balinese girls in gold bikinis and a sausage dog with a golden coat doing a set on the dancefloor (sorry guys, no pictures of that). The swedish DJ was played some wicked funky house, what we couldnt understand was why the bars all around it were playing crap music (classics like Jump Around and Billie Jean!?!?!) and were really packed with pissed Aussies, oh I've answered my own question there....Anyway, we stayed out till 4 and ended the night with a burger from McWiliiams!
The three of us are hiring a 4x4 tomorrow to go and tour the island for our last 3 days, I havent driven abroad before so it should be interesting........going to pick it up now, will let you know how we get on.........
