Ferry Fridge and Prachuap Khiri Khan (Steve)

So we leave Pha-Ngan at 12 noon and and board what was best described as a fridge on water which allowed us to shiver our way to Suart Thani arriving at 4.30pm to get a bus to Khiri Khan at 7.30pm, scheduled to get there at 2am, gotta love these long journeys! We got picked up from the ferry terminal and bundled into a minibus taking us to what we were expecting to be a bus station was someones garden, and along with some American girls we met and various others we were waiting till 7.30 for our luxury bus that was nice and even played movies (well, one movie, Paycheck, and it played it twice!! Torture!!)

Once we got to Khiri Khan we were dropped off about 3kms from the town, so began our walk through what felt like a ghost town, when we found it we had well and truely woken up so a beer was in order before bed. Our hotel is cheap ish at 300 baht a night and has a balcony overlooking the fishing pier and harbour.

On initial wandering round this morning we have found that this is really still a fishing village and hasnt yet succumed to the 'tourist dollar', which is great exept that we dont speak Thai and they dont speak English. So in restaurants we get what we're given, breakfast today was lovely: Chicken and Liver soup with rice, healthier than a full English I guess........
