We are not sure where to hang out anymore having lost the Sunset Point resturant.
We have all decided not to go to Sri Lanka and change our flights for the 4th of January, knowing that we fly out again on the 5th.
We go on a Cruise along the Keralan Backwaters which are extremely beautiful. It is the closest I have ever come to Paradise. We meet a group of guys holidaying in Kerala who entertain us for the day. We all bond over the Dhoom Machalai song (Julia and I learnt some of the words a few weeks ago). The Cruise is fab, until the afternoon when they shove 35 people on a boat which should be for 20! They also then try to give us a tour of a factory and a spice garden where the plants have not grown yet! The three of us all sit in the boat feeling exhausted and hot and miserable that the tour is so stupid! Saying that though the backwaters are so Undescribable in their beauty. We can see Islands filled with Palm trees all around us and are given the privelledge of drinking and eating a coconut farmed straight from a tree. It is delicious fresh, fruity and nutty. The water is so clear and blue we can see loads of fish swimming.
In the evening we are invited to Nisar's House for a party. Nisar is one of the guys who owns the washed away resturant, but he also taxi's everyone around in his Rickshaw. The party is great. We are joined by Jennifer, Susan, Rolf, Carina, and some of the lads we met on the backwater cruise. We dance of the roof of Nisars house Whilst drinking rum and brandy, which we had to hide from his parents! Our friends hospitality is wonderful. They will be building a new resturant tomorrow night and we have decided to change the name from the 'Sunset Point' to the 'New Pink Sunset Point'! We finally head home at about 5.30am leaving many of the boys puking off the roof! When we get home though we feel like naughty children as the owner of our homestay is still up waiting for us.
