Hangovers, Sea Sickness and snorkeling (sian)

What a gorgeous Island we are staying on! Yesterday we hired bikes and explored stuff! There is only one road around the Island and we spent all day on it stopping off at various points to marvel at the beauty and laugh at each others helmets! Mine and Jess' was pink, Steve had a purple helmet, whilst Tom's was silver. As I don't drive I hopped on the back of Steve's bike, and sung to him badly for most of the day.
We are having such a great time here, it is just a shame that the only accomodation Steve and I could find was a over priced shed with no bathroom. Should I be complaining that we are spending a fiver a night on it? It is something that has been bothering us both for the last couple of days. On the plus side we have a beach as a garden and the waves to send us to sleep. We can also run naked from our shed to the sea in about 10 seconds as we discovered the other night!
Last night we drank 4 buckets between 4 of us! They have a small bottle of rum in each. It was great fun. We built a fire on the beach and buried Tom in the sand, we swam in the sea, and got told off for being too loud at about 11.30pm! (people sleep early here) The fire drew in other crazy people who couldn't sleep, it was great fun! The highlight was the boys dragging there logs along the beach. Maybe I was biased but I'm sure Steve's was the biggest!
Getting up this morning was a struggle. We were all still drunk over breakfast and very nearly pulled out of our snorkeling trip. We were all thinking the same thing but no one was brave enough to say anything to each other! What didn't help was that in all the time we have been in Thailand today is the first day we saw rain, which meant that the sea was really choppy (great hangover cure...NOT!). The boat carrying about 30 people was smashing against the waves. A few people were screaming as they thought that the boat was about to sink... Still enough life jackets were on board. Our first stop was on a great reef with magical fish. Tom was a little too sick to join us, but soon recovered and we all had a great time around the 2 other reefs throughout the day. We spent an afternoon on a coral beach where I promptly fell into much needed sleep. The boat ride back to Ko Chang was far better than the crossing but I think that is partly due to our hangovers finishing.
The 4 of us get to ride in the back of a pickup and see some more of this gorgeous Island we are on.
Catching a couple of planes tomorrow so we can get to the full moon. We'll be staying sober tonight... almost.
